We have decided to reduce the stud back to our pet few and enjoy them more, so we have some loveley youngsters for sale with superb breeding. We keep them as a herd, out in the fresh air, this we feel is how horses should be kept, (although not always possible at livery yards) and leads to balanced well mannered unstressed youngstock. Most of our mares have been ridden competitively. The pictures you see on this website are off our horses without having hard feed, just good quality adlib hay/haylage, grass & mineral blocks allowing a steady unpushed growth. They live out 24 hours a day in summer and winter and have the option of a shelter in winter, the constant exercise helps the bone growth and strength of young horses which leads to less problems in later life.. The Youngsters learn manners from the older mares, making life easier for us. We have put lots of pictures on line to show what Clevelands look like they have been a hidden gem of English breeding but not always recognised. Used to improve stock across the world to create show jumpers , eventers , dressage horses and more rarely driving horses. They are one of the oldest recorded breeds and can be found in most large native breeds in the uk and abroad. . The breed has for centuries scorned the introduction of common blood from draft horses, leading to a clean legged (unfeathered) leading to a more uniform quality.
